Dear Host Family,

First I would like to thank you for your interest in my application and I´m already very excited about getting to know you. This letter should give you an insight in my everyday life, my personality and I would like to tell you something about my family and of course about my experience with children. So you can decide better if I am the right Au Pair for your family.

I live on my own since I was 14 years old but in spite of it I have a good relationship to my parents. My mother Sylvia is 44 years old and live in A.... and my father Andreas is 45 years old and live with my stepmother Ramona in S... Both villiges are very near to G., so I see my family very often.

Christian is 22 years old and we are in a relationship for three years now and he supports me in everything I do.

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you did not do.

So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor.

Catch the trade winds in your sails.

Explore. Dream. Discover." (Mark Twain)

Since I was 12 years old I wanted to get to know the American way of life and the culture because at this time my mother told me that my grandfather was an American. When I startet my education as a kindergarden teacher, I have planed to go to America as an Au Pair.

I also wanted to go to America as an Au Pair because it would be great to improve my English skills and become more intepended, self confident and open-minded by spending an exciting year abroad.

But the main reason ist that the work with children is very important to me and I love spending time with them and see them growing up and the way they discovering themselves and their enviroment. It´s fascinating how they become little personalities and find out who they are.

So I want to tell you something about my childcare experiences.

I did my education on Vocational School for kindergarden teachers from 2005 till 2010.

At this time period I got the chance to get to know many different groups of children between the age of one and ten years.

Then I worked as a kindergarden teacher in Vienna for more than two years. At first I worked in a group with 20 children between 3 and 6 years with special Needs and then in a group with 25 children also between 3 and 6 years for one and a half year.

Since January 2013 I worked also as a kindergarden teacher in Lower Austria specific in the district of G. At first I had to work in many different groups for different time periods. Thus I´ve got to know many children with different Needs and interests.

Since September 2013 I have my own group of 20 children again in a little village called G. There I have to work with children between two and a half and 6 years.

"All kids need is a little help, a little hope and somebody who believes in them."

(Earvin "Magic" Johnson)

I always try to plan activities which belongs to the individual Needs and interests of the children and we discover our enviroment together by going outside. We also work on seasonal themes and prepair various Festivals. A close connection to each child is very important for me. This is the reason why we sit every day together and talk about important things, sing Songs together while I playing the guitar, we play games and we work on several projects which seems to be important to the children.

In my freetime I took care of a Girl, who is now 7 years old, for five years. She is my little Sunshine and the doughter of a friend of my mother and myself. I also helped a friend of mine with her two children by doing homework together and provided tuition. The Girl is 7 years old and the Boy 8 years old now.

Now I would like to tell you a little bit more about myself.

My friends discribes me as a very ambitious Young women who is intepended, humorous and polite and when I´m around children I´m very empathic and also consistent.

I´m very interested in meeting new People and seeing new countries. Photography is one of my biggest hobbies and I also like reading a good book. My friends, family and my boyfriend are very important for me so I love spending time with them. I also like beeing creative and I like to go to the cinema or concerts.

During my A-Levels I passed my driving license and so far I have driven my own car without any accidents or tickets. I have a lot of experiences driving in snow and ice, as we have a cold and snowy winter in Austria. I also have experiences on motorways.

After my time beeing an Au Pair (for one or two years) I wanted to work and travel in New Zealand for one year and then I would like to work as an kindergarden teacher again while studying sociology.

I hope you get to know me a little bit more and thank you for taking your time to read my letter.

It´s important for me to have a good relationship to your family an to work and live together as a family.

I´m looking forward to hearing from you.
